Revelry by Carmen Jenner

Cooper Ryan is living the dream. Between the parties with rock royalty, booze, groupies and performing to crowds of thousands with his band Taint, life seems pretty sweet. There’s just one thing missing: the feisty little red-head that took his baby and ran off with his heart. Throwing himself into music is the only thing keeping him sane.

Until a run-in with a nonplussed, package-wielding PA throws everything off balance.

Ali Jones is having a craptastic life. Her grandmother died, leaving her homeless, penniless, and alone, and her boyfriend left her for a tramp who takes her clothes off for money. That’s why when she lands her dream job at a record company it seems like it’s too good to be true.

Because it is.

Slapped with an ultimatum, Ali must decide if facing the horror of the unemployment line is a fate worse than going on the road with four rowdy rockers hell-bent on making her life misery.

He’s adored by millions.

She’s not even loved by her cat.

Can they ignore their hatred long enough to survive the tour from hell? Or will their chemistry force everything to come crashing down around them?

Flirty, funny, dirty, raunchy, sexy.

Close your eyes and picture your most stereotypical rock band.
Can you see it?

Hot, sexy men.
The quiet one, the outspoken one, the slut.
Groupies, drugs, booze, parties, sex, sex, sex.
Add in a heavy dose of raunch, a red kitty and some buried feelings of hurt and rejection and you’ve got yourself Revelry.

If I had to compare to other books I’ve read, just to give you an idea.. I’d say a cross between Backstage Pass and Strings! Some scenes may cause you to cringe and to some, probably warrant a warning.

"the universe is a cock-sucking bitch that needs to choke on a rotten whale's vagina"

I was really enjoying the story from the beginning. The band mates have an awesome camaraderie and there's tons of funny throughout. Unfortunately at a certain point, things take a bit of a turn that I just didn't understand. Things also turn a bit crass and crude, still keeping heavy on the funny, but some of it just turned me off.

I kept an open mind and continued reading, although I didn't agree with what was happening, in the end I got what I wanted and finally understood the method to the madness.

"strange how you can be adored by millions and yet completely alone all at the same time."

I'm bracing myself for more of the raunchy, crudeness.. because I want to know more about these guys! Who's up next? Bring on the next member of Taint!

Suit Yourself (Men of London #3) by Susan Mac Nicol

Scarred both physically and emotionally after a motorcycle accident, twenty-five year old ex fashion model and porn star Oliver Brown is about to be stripped bare by flamboyant twink Leslie Scott—and they’ll rebuild love from the bottom up.

BARING THE BEAST

Twenty-five year old Oliver Brown is addicted. Two years ago, he was at the height of his career as “Nikki Star,” fashion model, porn actor, partier without peer. Then came the accident. Hiding his scars, both emotional and physical, he’s gone into hiding. But fine clothing is some solace. A new suit by Debussy? Better even than a ride on his motorcycle Hulk or all the things he used to give and take on camera.

Enter Leslie Scott, the flamboyant, dark-haired, heel-and-tiny-short-wearing twink sent to deliver Oliver’s newest fix. A firecracker, Leslie is dapper, generous, in touch with his feminine side but all man, and as gorgeous as any garment ever made. He makes Oliver dream of ending his reclusion, of recapturing a future forever denied him. But for that to happen, Leslie would have to strip him to the bone. Only then will they rebuild life from the bottom up.

Leslie

In the first two books in the series we met this corset and heel wearing beautiful man. He's like a mama bear with his friends, has a huge heart and a kick ass wardrobe!

"beauty, grace, and a warm-hearted beautiful soul."

He also has a hilarious sense of humor and is a bit of a nervous talker!
His antics had me continuously laughing out loud.
The only thing irritating him about his outfit was his thong. It just wan't behaving properly, riding up his backside and into his crack. Leslie didn't mind fingers and tongues doing that, but an errant piece of fabric was simply a no-no.

It was nice to see Leslie get his happily ever after. After both his best friends and housemates were paired off and out of their shared flat, Leslie was left all alone longing for that special person of his own.

Oliver
Oliver has a sad story. He was quite the celebrity in his prime. Popular, unbelievably handsome, a social butterfly and a bit of a suit whore!
Unfortunately after some unforeseen events, he's become quite the recluse. Now he's hiding, feeling unworthy and definitely unlovable.
Looking for love and that special someone to see the person he is inside is hard when you're trapped behind closed doors..

This was a sweet, funny and at times sad story.
Leslie and Oliver shared an instant attraction but I like how they take things easy and form a friendship before jumping off into 'more'.
I loved the banter and funny one liners I've come to expect with Susan's books.
I really enjoyed Leslie's kinky side. I am an m/m lover, but have to say that I don't usually read about feminine men who wear women's clothing. So leave it to Susan Mac Nicol to change that!
I must say...
Leslie masturbating in bed wearing nothing but heels
was one hell of a turn on, I kid you not!

And I also appreciated their struggles with trust and acceptance. Their relationship wasn't all unicorns and rainbows. It was real, with real insecurities and heartache.

"Well, I'm not everybody. So don't taint me with the brush that other arseholes use."

I really enjoyed Leslie and Oliver's story, as well as catching up a bit with the previous couples Gideon/Eddie and Taylor/Draven.
Bring on the next Men of London!!! I'm ready!

Henry's End by Julie A. Richman

Dreams.

I used to have them—before the nightmares started.
I dreamed of nice guys, love…normalcy.
Things like reading the Sunday paper in bed with my
lover.

But who needs dreams when your reality is filled with a string of faceless dominating men in uniform? Men that pack a thick bulge and are only too happy to satisfy my deviant sexual cravings.

Me. That's who.

And then HE walked through the door and shared with me, a total stranger, his intimate dream of love. Damn him for verbalizing every single detail of the dream I buried long ago.

And now I don’t know how I'm going to live without that dream.
Or him.

Henry's End was my first read from Julie Richman. I went in blind, not knowing what to expect from this author, and I was quite surprised and pleased. I was also in tears!

Oh.. Henry!!! Oh my goodness, did I love him! What's not to love? He is beautiful, not only on the outside, but inside as well.
He's friendly, funny and flirty.
But Henry will take you on one hell of a roller coaster ride. You better have your seat belt fastened... and your tissues at hand!!

There is so much love in this book, not only between lovers, but between friends and between soul mates!

"We'll run through this."

There is also tragedy and pain. My heart shattered into pieces, more than once! At one point I had to actually stop reading, put my Kindle down and walk away!

Then there are the laugh out loud funny moments! I love the easygoing playfulness of some of these characters. Plenty of funny one-liners, silly banter and flamboyant personalities.
"Who was hotter- Brandon or Dylan? Was David really in the closet?"
And let's not forget the steam and hot naughty man love! Lots of it!

There is a lot to take in in this story. There are several main and secondary characters. Everything works amazingly well together, mind you, just be prepared for a lot going on!

After finishing the story, you're informed that several of these characters are from previous books. No need to panic if you haven't read them though, as I hadn't, because there was always an explanation of who they were and how they related to Henry. If you have read the previous books, then you should be very pleased to revisit these characters!

I adored Henry, all of the characters, well, almost all, and this funny, tender and heartfelt story. It's definitely a must read!!

Trust (Temptation #3) by Ella Frank

TRUST – verb: to believe in the reliability, truth, or strength of another.

Up until now, Logan Mitchell has never had much of a reason to trust anyone.
Having struggled with a self-identity crisis throughout college, he’s spent the years since then creating a sophisticated facade to present to the world.
It’s an armor he thought was impenetrable—until he met Tate Morrison.
The gorgeous, headstrong bartender he’d sat across from only months ago has taken a tight hold of his heart, and Logan is discovering that it’s time to let go.
It’s time to let someone inside.

After years of placing his dreams on hold for his family, Tate has finally chosen to do what makes him happy and follow his heart.
The one thing he never would've imagined was that it would lead him into the arms of a man—and not just any man—the striking, never-takes-no-for-an-answer Logan Mitchell.
Tate has fallen hard, and as his world is turned on its axis and they move forward together, he finds his life becoming more entwined with the confident, successful lawyer.

Even though neither man expected the other, it’s time to trust in their relationship—but not everything comes so easily…

IT WAS PERFECT! BRILLIANT! INSPIRING! EMOTIONAL! EROTIC! FUNNY!

Trust was everything I wanted  it to be and more.
I can't believe this is the final book in the Temptation series. That being said, I am satisfied!

My heart is filled to the brim!

You will laugh, you will cry, you will run and change your panties!
Hush your mouth, you know I'm right!!!

These men are complex characters. We have seen them evolve. They aren't the same men we thought they were when they first emerged on the pages of Try. They have changed, their lives have changed and I am forever changed for having been a part of it!

Their chemistry is smokin' hot, as it's been in previous books. I found the amount of steam and lust to be just perfect. My Kindle was sizzling!

But there's also this beautiful and sweet connection.
Their love is growing and solidifying.
I was overwhelmed with emotions.

As with the other books in the series, your favorite characters all make an appearance. Possibly even some you love to hate!
While I was reading I caught myself smiling and giggling. I love how the simplest of things such as hazelnuts or curls , things I will forever associate with Logan and Tate, were mentioned and I got all giddy.

There is so much happening within these pages and I will not spoil anymore of it for you.

Ella Frank is one of my all-time favorite authors and she has written another amazing book!
In the words of Logan Mitchell..

"Just us. Together. Always."

Transcendence by Shay Savage

It’s said that women and men are from two different planets when it comes to communication, but how can they overcome the obstacles of prehistoric times when one of them simply doesn’t have the ability to comprehend language?

Ehd’s a caveman living on his own in a harsh wilderness. He’s strong and intelligent, but completely alone. When he finds a beautiful young woman in his pit trap, it’s obvious to him that she is meant to be his mate. He doesn’t know where she came from; she’s wearing some pretty odd clothing, and she makes a lot of noises with her mouth that give him a headache. Still, he’s determined to fulfill his purpose in life – provide for her, protect her, and put a baby in her.

Elizabeth doesn’t know where she is or exactly how she got there. She’s confused and distressed by her predicament, and there’s a caveman hauling her back to his cavehome. She’s not at all interested in Ehd’s primitive advances, and she just can’t seem to get him to listen. No matter what she tries, getting her point across to this primitive, but beautiful, man is a constant – and often hilarious – struggle.

With only each other for company, they must rely on one another to fight the dangers of the wild and prepare for the winter months. As they struggle to coexist, theirs becomes a love story that transcends language and time.

LOVED LOVED LOVED!!!

Heartwarming, hilarious and simply amazing!
I laughed so loud and so often, but also cried and cried!!

This story is told in the pov of Ehd, a caveman. A CAVEMAN!
Think about what life was like back then, what their sole purpose in life was. He is man, protector, hunter, he finds a mate, makes babies, then protects and hunts for them. Done!

Ehd made my laugh and cry. His antics are hilarious!
He can't speak, nor does he understand what speaking is. To him it's just noise...
which gives him a head ache!
He's brave and strong, yet sensitive, sweet and unassuming.

"She may be strange; she may not know how to make baskets, and she may be very noisy, but she is my mate, and I am thrilled she is here."

Transcendence is unlike anything I have ever read and I loved it. I couldn't put it down and am unlikely to forget about Ehd and Beh anytime soon. This is one of those books that will stay with me for a very long time.

When the Chips are Down (Three of a Kind #1) by Beth Rinyu

Melanie Hanson's life didn't go quite the way she had planned.
Her cheating ex-husband traded her in for a newer model and she’s in over her head dealing
with the drama that comes along with raising her twin teenage daughters.

The last thing she is looking for or needs in her life is a man - or is it?

Ben Wilder is the boy that Melanie loved to hate throughout high school, the boy that all the girls loved and the boy that didn't give Melanie the time of day, unless it was to tease her. When she runs into him once again she realizes...he’s not a boy anymore. Older and wiser, she’s determined not to fall for her secret crush from all those years ago. But sometimes our heart has different plans than our head. Will she finally get her happily ever after with the man she least expected to have it with?

Take a humorous journey with Melanie and her daughters as their lives begin to parallel and they discover that although they may be separated by a generation their struggles are still the same.

This book was a breath of fresh air. Corny saying, I know, but it’s true. I read this book without having a synopsis. Why? Because when Beth Rinyu asks me to read her book, I drop whatever I’m doing and read her book!!!

That being said, I was unaware this story was told in the pov of 3 women. Pleasantly surprised, this turned out to be the story of a woman and her twin teenage daughters and the intertwining web they weave as a family.

Melanie, Gia and Carrie, each struggle with everyday problems: love, friendship, sex, life after divorce, secrets, fears, broken hearts and so much more.

Their journey is sweet, endearing, emotional, and laugh out loud funny.

Melanie is struggling to live life for herself after being cheated on and left for a younger woman. She’s a busy working mother who doesn't find time to be what she is first and foremost…. a woman. A single, beautiful, intelligent woman. With a little push from her unorthodox BFF, she takes a chance on some much needed fun.
Cue a couple of hot men, a bubble bath and a glass of wine.... wait a minute, it's not that kind of story! Or is it??!! There's definitely some hot going on and his name is Ben Wilder!

Carrie is the smart one. She doesn't have time for boys or games. She loves her family and has a good head on her shoulders. Mamma’s girl.

Gia is the outgoing one. She spunky and rebellious. Dancing is her favorite thing in the world. Daddy’s girl.

This is essentially three stories in one. You never know what’ll happen next with these three.
Some of their struggles are tough and real. Beth tackles real everyday problems teenagers and parents face, always with a positive message and leaving you with a smile on your face.

Although this installment involves all three women, When the Chips are Down begins and ends with Melanie. I'm excited to continue on with the next two books and read what the future has in store for Carrie and Gia.
