Damaged Goods (Men of London) by Susan Mac Nicol

Touched by tragedy, love is an elusive dream never to be realised by eighteen-year-old Jax Grady--until he discovers his secret admirer and receives the sweetest gift he could ever desire.

THE SWEETEST GIFT

Tragedy and horror shaped Jackson Grady's life, leaving him orphaned and scarred. At eighteen he's ready to claim his future, but who could love his disfigured face and damaged soul? Definitely not a big, burly, beautiful Irish Traveller who is entirely the stuff of dreams.

Dare Rowan didn't mean to become obsessed with the blue-eyed man he first saw across a field, but that porcelain skin and innocent air demanded another meeting. Jax has the face of a wounded angel, and the rest of the young man is as heart-breakingly perfect. Jax is beautiful in every way and teaching him about love and life will be something Dare will embrace. Like unwrapping and savouring the candy at the shop where he works, Dare will show this young man everything Jax desired but never thought he'd have, and take Jax to new highs while he holds him through the lows. Between them, they’ll find out just how sweet life can be.

We were introduced to Jax and his tragic past in Feat of Clay. I was so intrigued with him and could not wait for him to have his story told!

Jax is a young, sweet, innocent, insecure, damaged teenager.
Oh and horny! Let's not forget horny!
At the same time, he's one of the bravest and strongest characters I've had the pleasure of reading about!
Because of his past and where he saw his future, he never dreamed of finding love or companionship.

Dare was so adorable! Big, strapping man with tats, working in a candy store. He's kind, gentle and caring. I absolutely adored his family also!
He was patient with Jax, his feelings and needs.

He himself seemed insecure and uncertain at times.

Dare was like Jax's wet dream come to life! He was everything Jax thought he would never have, never get to experience.
Jax was so feisty and eager to experience, yet the progression of their relationship went at a very steady and slower pace than he would have liked! I think it was perfect.
There were funny moments, oh so sweet and tender ones and certainly a few sniffles!

I LOVED Jax & Dare!!

This was the sweetest story and without a doubt my favorite of the Men of London series!

Justice or Love

My Review

The synopsis was very intriguing.
I'm all for men in uniform... undercover.. posing as a college student.. love!!!
Right up my alley! Yay me!
But, I gave Moth 3 stars because certain aspects I enjoyed, I really did, and I am by no means a prude and have read male pov before, but the crudeness was a little too over the top for my taste to rate it any other way.

Moth has one hell of a potty mouth!
He's a man, a DEA agent, they cuss... I get it. Fuck, I cuss too!
But to be honest, I found it a little hard to stay focused on the actual story with all of the...

and...

that was being thrown around, everywhere.

Yes, there was this...

will smith martin lawrence bad boys marcus burnett mike lowrey

... which I did enjoy, but if I didn't know any better, I'd say this was a male author writing to a male demographic.
The descriptions and main character's internal dialogue and thought were just too overly crass for my taste. It was distracting.

I did enjoy the mystery and suspense of the story... the twist I didn't see coming, although was trying to figure out, was pretty darn good!
I was intrigued and getting excited at what was to come, though unfortunately I rolled my eyes at the wording being used so many times I gave myself a headache!

Wicked Need (The Wicked Horse, #3) by Sawyer Bennett

Wicked Need (The Wicked Horse, #3)

Rand Bishop’s dreams of Olympic gold were shattered years ago but he’s left that all behind, settling into a new career and lifestyle that would make any man jealous. While he may not be competitively racing down the ski slopes anymore, he’s just as happy getting his rocks off as a Fantasy Maker for The Silo.

He’s good at what he does.
Damn good.

But while life couldn’t be better for Rand, it seems to be falling apart for Catherine Lyons Vaughn, the dark haired, brown-eyed beauty that has captivated an entire sex club.

Having spent years degrading herself on her husband’s whim and now left destitute after his death, Catherine has hit rock bottom. With nothing but her body to peddle, Catherine is merely trying to figure out how to survive in a harsh, cruel world. Lucky for her, Rand has taken her under his tattooed wing, and he’s determined to give her a safe life where she can be the woman she was always meant to be.

Now all Catherine has to do is believe she deserves the chance.

Wicked is exactly right... there's so much wicked naughtiness going on in this series.
Everyone sleeps with everyone! Sometimes at the same time!
The Silo is about living out your fantasies, and some people have crazy ones.

I'm not too sure how I feel about this one. I know I'm in the minority, but what can you do?
Everything's not for everyone.
At 40% I stopped and contemplated DNFing. I wrote down some feelings, pretty much how much I loved Rand, but that I just wasn't feeling it. I felt it was too much too soon.

I didn't get the warm and fuzzies with Cat. Yes, she's been through a lot. I mean damn. Could you pile anymore onto this poor girl??
I know she was supposed to get my sympathy and all, but, I don't know, I never really connected with her or felt for her.

Rand, on the other hand.... hot damn!!

A sweet, gentlemanly night in shining armor, tats, piercings, ex-Olympian, knows how to service a woman and put her first... also enjoys a little M/M action on the side.. among so much other action in the Silo...

Okay, hang on... we must go back to that for a moment...  like I said, I wasn't truly feeling their connection or what was going on, but I decided to keep going.

Thank the holy heavens that I kept going if for no other reason that this one.
I swear to you, the menage scene that took place....

BRAVO, Ms. Bennett!!!
That was one of the hottest damn scenes I have ever experienced... I mean read!!!

Wicked Need was sexy, yes... it was hot, yes... it had some mystery and angst... but when it comes down to it, for me I needed more. More connection and more lovey dovey feeling, maybe?

Spencer Cohen, Book Three (Spencer Cohen #3) by NR Walker

Spencer Cohen, Book Three (Spencer Cohen, #3)
Learning to be in a committed relationship has been easy for Spencer. In fact, too easy. Andrew has fit into his life seamlessly. Spencer's let go of his insecurities and hang-ups, and he and Andrew are enjoying where things are headed.

For the first time in years, Spencer's life is unbelievably perfect. Andrew overthinks everything. So when Spencer gets a phone call from Australia, he's certain Spencer will push him away.

But instead of driving them apart, maybe it will solidify what they already have. Maybe Spencer will depend on Andrew more than ever. Maybe the Spencer Cohen story will come full circle, and maybe, just maybe, Spencer will have the happily ever after he never thought possible.

This is book 3 in the Spencer Cohen Series.

That ending!! It was sweet perfection!

Spencer and Andrew are the most adorable couple!!! I love them!

This third installment was so incredibly moving, sweet and touching. A great way to wrap up the series.

These two men who seemed so unbelievably different from each other were so similar in unbelievable way. They are adorable together and compliment the other so well.

"You look like a shy, mild-mannered guy, but underneath you're really just a bossy top."

Still only a couple of months into dating they're both adjusting to the others lives, friends and family.
But they are blazing through it all.

This book is full of tragedy, heartache, hardships and revelations!

N.R. Walker has written a spectacular couple.
They were just too cute for words. I felt like I knew them. I want to know them.
If there were a magazine called Who I Want To Be Friends With, Spencer and Andrew would be on the cover!!!!!

"the water hadn't even had time to get wet"

(one of my favorite lines!)

Read this series!!! You're going to absolutely love it!

Worth It All (The McKinney Brothers, #3)

-BLURB-

Will they take a chance on love? . . . When JT gets the chance to help Paige’s daughter, he takes it. He never planned on the two of them tearing down his walls or teaching him to believe in himself again. Paige might not believe in happily ever afters, but JT wants more than anything to be her prince. They’ll both have to let go of the past if they want a future.

-MY REVIEW-

This was such a great story.
I am a huge fan of Claudia's writing and her McKinney men!!!
JT was perfect!

Emotionally and physically scarred as a teen, he's harbored feelings of guilt, resentment and anger for years.
Unlike his brothers and sister, married with children and all living nearby, JT lives clear across the country. He's a loner. He sticks to his job and his close nit group of friends.

Paige is adorable. She's sweet and kind and one hell of a mother! This is where Claudia knows how to get you! She's throws in a kid! One who you can't help but fall completely in love with!!!
She got me again!
Paige's daughter is a delightful little girl that melted my heart.... and JT's!

This story was sweet and tender. There were funny moments, times of sadness and let's not leave out the sexiness going on!

Although a tiny bit of angst in there, this story was an easy going, sweet romance about life, love and family!

Imperfect Harmony by Jay Northcote

Imperfect Harmony

-blurb-
Imperfect harmony can still be beautiful…

John Fletcher, a former musician, is stuck in limbo after losing his long-term partner two years ago. He’s shut himself off from everything that reminds him of what he’s lost. When his neighbour persuades him to join the local community choir, John rediscovers his love of music and finds a reason to start living again.

Rhys Callington, the talented and charismatic choir leader, captures John’s attention from the first moment they meet. He appears to be the polar opposite of John: young, vibrant, and full of life. But Rhys has darkness in his own past that is holding him back from following his dreams.

Despite the nineteen-year age gap, the two men grow close and a fragile relationship blossoms. Ghosts of the past and insecurities about the future threaten their newfound happiness. If they’re going to harmonise in life and love as they do in their music, they’ll need to start following the same score.

-my Review-

Second chances, loss and love.

Moving on after the loss of a loved one is a daunting task.
Opening his heart to anyone ever again, let alone to music again, seemed impossible for John.
Add to that endless insecurities and fear of the unknown.
My heart broke for him. For both of them.

Music was such an integral part of each of their lives.

One found solace in it, while the other shut it out completely.

This was a sweet and very moving story.
I fell in love with both characters. Each so very different from the other.
They had several struggles to overcome, their age being a big one!
But they were real and they were adorable together. I love their intimate moments, so sweet.

Their story was funny at times, sweet, sexy and heartbreaking!

It was a quick read, very enjoyable and quite touching.

Stuck-Up Suit by Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland

Stuck-Up Suit

-Synopsis-

From the New York Times Bestselling authors of Cocky Bastard, comes a sexy new standalone novel.

It started out like any other morning on the train.

Until I became mesmerized by the guy sitting across the aisle.

He was barking at someone on his phone like he ruled the world.

Who did the stuck-up suit think he was…God?

Actually, he looked like a God. That was about it.

When his stop came, he got up suddenly and left. So suddenly, he dropped his phone on the way out.

I might have picked it up.

I might have gone through all of his photos and called some of the numbers.

I might have held onto the mystery man’s phone for days—until I finally conjured up the courage to return it.

When I traipsed my ass across town to his fancy company, he refused to see me.

So, I left the phone on the empty desk outside the arrogant jerk’s office.

I might have also left behind a dirty picture on it first though.

I didn’t expect him to text back.

I didn’t expect our exchanges to be hot as hell.

I didn’t expect to fall for him—all before we even met.

The two of us couldn’t have been any more different.

Yet, you know what they say about opposites.

When we finally came face to face, we found out opposites sometimes do more than attract—we consumed each other.

Nothing could have prepared me for the ride he took me on.  And I certainly wasn’t prepared for where I’d wind up when the ride was over.

All good things must come to an end, right?

Except our ending was one I didn't see coming.

-My Review-

I just finished reading, not one minute ago. I have a huge smile on my face and tears in my eyes!
I freaking loved it!!!

These characters were funny, spunky and sarcastic. I loved their banter and their sexual chemistry!
This suit was delish! He exuded arrogance, charm and mouth watering sexiness all at once! Whether in a suit or out!!

I loved the "Ask Ida" correspondence as well as their texts!! Had me in stitches!

"Plot twist."

Not gonna lie, there were some angsty pit of my stomach moments, things I didn't want to deal with. I had a few "I'm about to cut a bitch" moments for sure!

I wanted to be one of those people that just jumped ahead a couple of chapters to see what happens, but I didn't! And thank goodness I didn't. The very next page had me laughing out loud and wiping away tears!

"You have to trust in fate. It's all written. Doesn't matter if it's today or in two years, if it's meant to be, it will happen one way or the other."

This book was a quick and enjoyable read. It was absolutely sexy and fun. It had tender scenes that'll make you say "aww." It might even make you say "baa," but I'm not going to tell you why!
There were so many funny, unexpected moments that I really want to share, but can't say or I will spoil it. I really did love it!

Amazing read that kept me turning the pages. I can not wait for the next one!

The Matchmaker's Playbook (Wingmen Inc. 1) by Rachel Van Dyken

The Matchmaker's Playbook (Wingmen Inc., #1)

Wingman rule number one: don’t fall for a client.

After a career-ending accident, former NFL recruit Ian Hunter is back on campus—and he’s ready to get his new game on. As one of the masterminds behind Wingmen, Inc., a successful and secretive word-of-mouth dating service, he’s putting his extensive skills with women to work for the lovelorn. But when Blake Olson requests the services of Wingmen, Inc., Ian may have landed his most hopeless client yet.

From her frumpy athletic gear to her unfortunate choice of footwear, Blake is going to need a miracle if she wants to land her crush. At least with a professional matchmaker by her side she has a fighting chance. Ian knows that his advice and a makeover can turn Blake into another successful match. But as Blake begins the transformation from hot mess to smokin’ hot, Ian realizes he’s in danger of breaking his cardinal rule.…

Too funny!!!

So, to be honest I was a little worried in the beginning. Ian comes off as a cocky, arrogant, douche! But... it didn't take long for me to get used to the way he spoke and then totally fall in love with him!

He was hilarious! Still somewhat douchy... haha but I loved him.

"You're kind of a pig."

"Right, but I'm more like one of those cute little pigs, you know, the teacup ones. Still a pig, but you can't help but want to keep it forever because it's so damn adorable."

Blake was perfect. She was a bit naive about the whole "how to be a girl" thing, and it showed. From her mannerisms to her clothes. She was one of the guys! But that all changed soon enough.
Their chemistry was off the charts!!!

I've read a handful of matchmaker/fake boyfriend type reads, but this one was unique in its own way.
I loved the rules and enjoyed the friends/secondary characters too.

This was a quick, fun, and sexy read. It had me laughing out loud!

"Maybe he was a merman in another life, and the only way he can survive on dry land is to keep as much liquid inside his mouth as possible."
