The
spotlight doesn't only shine. Sometimes it burns.
Being the bad-boy bassist for the world's hottest band has earned Griffin Hancock some perks: a big house, a fast car, and most importantly his incredible wife, Anna. The one thing it hasn't brought him is the spotlight. Anna tells him to be patient, that his talent will win out. But Griffin is through waiting for permission to shine.
Without warning, Griffin makes a shocking decision and takes the gamble of a lifetime. Suddenly he's caught up in a new level of lights, cameras, and chaos. One that pushes his relationship with Anna to its limits. Anna has always found his unpredictable behavior sexy, but lately he's seen an ache in her eyes--and it has his soul in knots. Just as the recognition Griffin seeks is finally within reach, the thing he loves most in life could be slipping through his fingers...

Griffin.
How does one describe
thee??
"selfish,
self-centered, self-absorbed, diva, asshole, creep, moron"
Yep.. that's a good
start!
When we met him in
Thoughtless, we all felt the same way. Didn't we?
Griffin is the uber
good looking, obnoxious, crude, jack-ass. Say anything, anytime, no filter
ladies man.
As yes, he is those
things.. but thanks to this book we get all of that and more!
This book is about
Griffin's struggles. He's a married family man now, but being in Kellan's
shadow is a bitch and something he is fed up with doing.
"They'd clipped my
wings, and I was dying to fly."
From the
beginning, Griffin's antics had me laughing out loud!
He is such
a cocky clueless bastard when it comes to most everything around him!
For most of
the book if I wasn't laughing, I was rolling my eyes or cringing at what came
out of his mouth.
Later on in
the story things change. Yes he is an ass, but
some of the
best parts of this book are the moments between Griffin, Anna and their
children.
There's a
soft, tender side to Griffin nobody saw coming, including me!
And lets
talk about Anna for a minute!
I LOVE her.
They are a match made
it heaven.
Their chemistry is off
the charts crazy... and his can do no wrong attitude, she believes it as
well.
She believes in him
wholeheartedly and it was beautiful to read!
Back to Griffin.
What goes up must come
down... eventually, right?
Griffin is the type of
guy that needs to be knocked down a peg or two and unfortunately for him, he
got knocked all the way to his ass!
I cried for the Hulk.
Never thought I'd say
that, but it's true.
There were quite a few
emotional moments here.
Kudos S.C.
Stephens for making my heart hurt for the number 1 douche-bag!
All around
funny, cocky, naughty and sweet book.
The Hulk in
a nutshell!
