About Last Night... by Belle Aurora

***A MALE ESCORT/BROTHERS BEST FRIEND ROMANCE***

Matt Quinn has been an escort for most of his adult life. He's so good at his job that he's booked months in advance.

An inquiring email from a potential client finds him intrigued about the shy, awkward woman. A back and forth is started and before Quinn knows it, a friendship is formed.

Time passes and Quinn is smitten.

There's only one problem...

The client is his best friend's little sister.

She's off limits.
He knows better.

Staying away from one another is easier said than done.

SO cute!!!

This was such a sweet, funny and sexy story.
I couldn't get enough and read it in one sitting!

Mia is inexperienced and shy, but never came off as naive or childish.
Quinn is an escort! He's sexy and confident. He's also very attentive to a woman's needs.

I love the easy banter between Quinn and Mia.
They clicked instantly and had a flirty and fun friendship.
Eventually their relationship evolves and becomes "more".
By more I mean... holy hotness!!

There's also a handful of supporting characters that brought lots of laughs to the story. I loved Mia's neighbors and her brother, Quinn's BFF, Harry.

Miss Aurora, you continue to surprise and amaze me!

Fighting for Forever (Fighting #6) by J.B. Salsbury

Fighting for Forever (Fighting, #6)

Slut. Hooker. Whore.

The taunts never bothered me. They only see what I allow them to see, and a Las Vegas stripper is the perfect cover.

My life had direction. I had a mission—until the man I needed vanished and is presumed dead.

It’s time to move on—give up the dream for revenge—and no one shows me that more than the mop-headed fighter with eyes the color of the ocean.

If anyone can teach me just how sweet life can be, it’s him. But first, I’d have to let go.

Mase. Baywatch. Mayhem.

I’m known by many names, but there’s only one that stirs panic and worry in my gut every time I’m called it.

Brother.

I’ve bailed him out of trouble for years, so when he turns up in Vegas and asks for me, I’m prepared for the worst. And the worst is exactly what I get in the form of a lilac-eyed beauty named Trix.

She’s everything I hate about Vegas: a stripper, loose with her body and her morals. But there’s something about her, a complexity that she buries deep, and I’m determined to uncover it.

The deeper I go, the less I understand. When I finally learn the truth, we engage in a battle where life and death hang in the balance.

Fighting could kill us both, but if we win, forever is the prize.

I love Mason!
He’s the epitome of the saying 'nice guys finish last'!
He's only fallen in love a couple of times in his life, and each time, the girl ends up choosing the other guy. When will it be his turn??

Trix. Poor girl has had a rough hand dealt to her and is trying to right a wrong.
Her life isn't where she had dreamed it would be, nor what her parents wanted for her... but family is everything.
Revenge is everything.

"Moya sestra. Moye serdtse"
(My sister. My heart.)

"Information is a powerful thing, especially when it brings vindication."

This story, like the others in the series is filled with emotions, sexiness and hot UFL fighters. There's chemistry and angst, but there's also an overall sense of mystery.

The beginning had me stunned and practically in tears..
the ending had me literally in tears!

In the middle you have incredibly sweet, funny, camaraderie, sexy and possessive yumminess, suspense and some 'wtf is going on' moments.

I really enjoyed the dual pov as well as the inclusion of all the previous characters.
All their lives are intertwined in some form or another.
Technically a standalone, but if you're new to the series, start at the beginning!
You won't be disappointed.

Uncovered by Truth (Lies and Truth #2) by Rachael Duncan

Uncovered by Truth (Lies and Truth, #2)

My life has been full of uncertainties.
Little did I know the biggest one would come in the form of a green-eyed beauty.
She came into my life and flipped everything on its end and now things are more messed up than ever before.

Being former Special Forces, I’m no stranger to fighting, but this is different.

This is personal.
The stakes feel much higher and the struggle to save her will be my most challenging mission yet.

But I have a secret.
A secret that threatens to tear apart everything we’ve built.
I just hope she can overlook them when all is revealed.

You know me as Alex Matthews.
My mistake was getting involved with her, knowing what was on the line.
Their mistake was taking me away from her.

**This is the last book in the Lies and Truth series.**

If you have NOT read Book 1, Hidden in Lies, STOP reading this review and go read it now! It must be read first!

In the first book we were left with our mouths open,
hanging over the edge of a cliff!
Is he? Isn’t he?
What happened??
No worries.... this book picks up right where the other left off.

Alex is stuck between a rock and a hard place.
We finally get to hear his side of the story, with this book predominately in his pov.
His only mission is to get to Elizabeth and get her where she belongs.
With him!

I enjoyed the twists and turns and also the flashbacks to when Alex was in the military. I'm a sucker for a soldier!
This book has a lot more action, and has more of a suspense, who done it type feel compared to the first one.
There’s still plenty of secrets, with everyone hiding something, only now there's bad guys, guns and a whole lot of explaining to do!

Don't get me wrong though, there's still plenty of sexy, sweet and heart breaking moments. I actually gasped a couple of times and one particular part got me right in the heart and brought tears to my eyes!

Beat by Vi Keeland

Beat

From New York Times and USA Today Bestseller Vi Keeland comes a steamy new standalone novel about a rockstar. Or two.

Dimpled smile of a boy
Hard body of a man
Sings like an angel
Fucks like the devil

I was stuck between a rock(star) and a hard place.

At fifteen, his poster hung on my bedroom wall. At twenty-five his body hovered over mine. Every girl’s fantasy became my reality. I was dating a rockstar. Yet I was slowly falling for another man. The problem was—the two men—they shared a tour bus.

Flynn Beckham was the opening act.
Dylan Ryder was the headliner.

What happens when the opening act begins to shine so bright, it seems to dim everything else in its wake?

I’ll tell you what happens. Things get ugly.

We first meet Flynn in Throb.
He’s an up and coming rockstar, looking for love.
He seemed sweet enough and genuine enough.. but is he really???

YES! Yes, he really is!!!
I am in love with Flynn!

Vi Keeland knows how to write a book boyfriend, let me tell you!

Flynn is beautiful, has dimples…dimples ladies, and he can sing!
He’s a gentleman, sweet and caring.
He's also an amazing uncle, funny, charismatic and HOT!

He reminds me a bit of Kellan... kind of. Not sure if I should make that comparison or not, but the charisma, the talent, morning chats over coffee, the torn between two men... it has that Thoughtless resemblance, but don't freak out people!
This is SO not the same story.

This book is flirty, funny and sexy. There's one moment that I got actual tears in my eyes.. but then I went right back to laughing!

I know I haven't mentioned Lucky yet, and she's an awesome chick.. but I'm kinda stuck on Flynn!

Lucky has been around music her entire life, with both of her parents being musicians. She was born to it.
She lives and breathes it.
She works in it.
She falls for men who live it!

Lucky and Flynn have that certain je ne sais quoi  that draws them to each other.
I enjoyed their natural, easy going friendship, with their sexy innuendos and smokin' chemistry.
He is also so incredibly sweet with her. The way he takes care of her and is there for her, just melted my heart!

“Everyone needs that someone who will be that person for them.”

I also loved the secondary characters.
Little Laney was adorable, and Nolan is a trip!
The banter between Flynn and his bandmate had me literally laughing out loud.

To wrap it up.... Beat is another awesome book by Miss Keeland! It has everything I look for in a must read!

Revved (Revved #1) by Samantha Towle

Revved (Revved, #1)

Race car mechanic Andressa "Andi" Amaro has one rule—no dating drivers. With a good reason behind the rule, she has no plans on breaking it.

Carrick Ryan is the bad boy of Formula One. With a face and body that melts panties on sight, and an Irish lilt that leaves women on their knees, begging for more. He races hard and parties harder. The youngest driver to ever sign with F1, he’s still at the top of his game five years later, breaking hearts on and off the tracks.

When Andi is offered her dream job working in the glamorous world of F1, she leaves her home in Brazil, positive she can handle working for Carrick. But she’s not prepared for the off-the-chart sparks that fly the moment they meet.

Now, Andi has a crush on the one man she can’t have, and her resolve is about to be put to the test, because Carrick has decided he wants Andi, and he plans on testing her to the very limit…

I've given myself time to gather my words properly, but it didn't work!

Simply put, I loved this story!!

First, I have to say I read this to myself in an English accent!
Seriously.. with a little Irish thrown in. It wasn't pretty at times, but a must!

Carrick- as in Car-rick. Carr for short.
He's devastatingly gorgeous, a smooth talker, sexy, funny, sweet, and did I mention gorgeous?

Andi- beautiful, tall, looks like a model but loves nothing more than getting her hands dirty under the hood of a car.

She gives as good as she gets.
I enjoyed the banter and slick come back between the characters. There's flirting, there's laughter, and there's friendship.
Great supporting cast of characters as well.

This story was quite emotional! It's sad, sweet, funny, sexy, dirty and hot!!!

Carrick and Andi have an instant chemistry, whether they want to or not and being with each other is inevitable.
Both flawed characters, both fighting against themselves and each other.

I must admit, there were moments I wanted to reach out and throttle Andi! She was driving me crazy... but I didn't let it stop me. I knew why she behaved the way she did, even if she didn't, and I am so happy with the way things turned out and how they were explained.

I read this book in one sitting. I didn't want to put it down! Ok, I did have to stop to make my family dinner, but that's it!

Quick, entertaining and smoking hot read!

Secret by Kindle Alexander

Tristan Wilder,
self-made millionaire and devastatingly handsome CEO of Wilder-Nation is on the verge of a very lucrative buyout. With tough negotiations ahead, he's armed with his acquisition pitch, ready to launch the deal of a lifetime. There’s just one glitch. The last thing he expects is to fall for the hot business owner he's trying to sway.

Dylan Reeves,
computer science engineer and founder of the very successful social media site, Secret, is faced with a life-altering decision. A devoted family man with three kids and a wife, Dylan has been living a secret for years. Fiercely loyal to his convictions, his boundaries blur after meeting the striking owner of the corporation interested in acquiring his company. For the first time in his life, reckless desire consumes him when the gorgeous computer mogul makes an offer he can't refuse.

“He’d spent so much time focusing on his family and hiding behind them, he hadn’t thought about himself, hadn’t made plans for the rest of his life.”

Dylan is a family man. He’s quiet and reserved, laid back and gentle.
You can pretty much sum up this book in the same manor.
Add in a very strong overall message of family, trust, openness, and acceptance.. and there you have it.

This book had an easygoing feel to it. It wasn’t an in your face, hot as hell, two powerhouses going at it.
Wait.. let me rephrase…
there was definitely some hot as hell and going at it,
but the overall feel is sweet, tender and loving.

These men lived completely different lives, yet clicked so well.
I enjoyed the way they came together. There was something about them that just called to the other.
It wasn’t rushed. The timing was just right.

“It’s just hard to go back to adequate once you’ve had spectacular.”

There’s one instance that I thought “What? Wait a minute, is this really about to happen? No, no no!” And then it didn’t and I was happy and they were happy and it was hot! <--- vague much? Read it!

“Only you.”

Amber to Ashes by Gail McHugh

From the New York Times bestselling author of Collide and Pulse
comes a gritty new novel about a shattered young woman who unexpectedly falls for two best friends as she struggles to overcome the trauma of her tormented childhood.
They were a storm I never saw coming, an unforeseen heartbreak on the edge of a dangerous cliff.

Amber Moretti's life changes in the span of minutes. An orphaned outsider, she is desperate to start fresh the moment she walks onto campus. In the time it takes to cross the university’s dining hall, she meets two men who bring color, air, and light to her darkened world.

They became my addiction, each a needle to my next hit, my high.

Brock Cunningham’s appeal is dizzying, a potent force Amber can’t deny. A green-eyed smooth talker, he instantly attracts Amber. It doesn’t take long for him to consume her every thought, her every breath.

Ryder Ashcroft, a blue-eyed, tattooed, and pierced bad boy, turns Amber off immediately—that is, until he kisses her, stealing a piece of her heart, her soul.

They were as opposite as fire and ice, yet I ached for them equally.

Never knowing she could be broken down in so many unexpectedly beautiful yet petrifying ways, Amber finds herself falling for both men.

Immoral? Maybe. I say undeniable. Uncontained.
But one event changes everything, shattering each of their lives…and Amber isn’t sure she can come back from it.

Amber is a broken mess.. on the inside. On the outside she's a tough, takes no shit, does what she wants type of girl.

Brock is gorgeous, an all American boy, captain of the football team deliciousness.

Ryder is his best friend. He's divine, muscles upon muscles, tats, piercings and a player.

Everyone is hiding something. But what and from whom?

There's craziness, there's tenderness, sweet and sad. The sexual tension is palpable and the sex is off the charts. But there was something missing for me. All the elements are there, yet I stayed neutral.

From the beginning I struggled. I was ecstatic beyond belief when I received an advanced copy to read and review. I couldn't contain myself. That coupled with hearing about the tears and heart ache that was awaiting me had me sort of stumped and deflated once I started reading.

I wasn't that into it!

There are some eye rolling moments, a couple unbelievable silly moments, as well as dark and holy shit ones.

Not sure how I felt about Amber throughout.

I thought the men were very intriguing. I knew they were deeper than they seemed. I was curious as to their story and I could see how she could fall in love with both of them.

But the more I read, the more I felt the same.

I highlighted several inspirational quotes along the way, but they never really hit me in the heart like I'd hoped they would.

Like I hope they do for you.

Regardless of my not loving the absolute shit out of this book.. I will read the next one.. and anything else written by Gail in the future! Why? Because I'm a fan and that's just how I roll!

Nine Minutes (Nine Minutes #1) by Beth Flynn

On May 15, 1975, fifteen-year-old Ginny Lemon is abducted from a convenience store in Fort Lauderdale by a member of one of the most notorious and brutal motorcycle gangs in South Florida.

From that moment on, her life is forever changed. She gets a new name, a new identity and a new life in the midst of the gang’s base on the edge of the Florida Everglades—a frightening, rough and violent world much like the swamps themselves, where everyone has an alias and loyalty is tantamount to survival.

And at the center of it all is the gang’s leader, Grizz: massive, ruggedly handsome, terrifying and somehow, when it comes to Ginny, tender. She becomes his obsession and the one true love of his life.

So begins a tale of emotional obsession and manipulation, of a young woman ripped from everything she knows and forced to lean on the one person who provides attention, affection and care: her captor. Precocious and intelligent, but still very much a teenager, Ginny struggles to adapt to her existence, initially fighting and then coming to terms with her captivity.

Will she be rescued? Will she escape? Will she get out alive—or get out at all? Part psychological thriller, part coming-of-age novel, filled with mystery, romance and unexpected turns, Nine Minutes takes readers into the world of one motorcycle gang and inside the heart of a young girl, whose abduction brought about its fall.

Wow!
I didn't know what to expect when I first started reading
and I was pleasantly surprised.

This is a biker book,
biker gang,
people get killed,
crazy things happen,
but then again...
it wasn't like any biker book I've ever read!
it was better!!!

It was sweet and sad.
It was such a different kind of love story and the way it was told.. I just loved it!!

I thought I was stunned with the beginning..
but that's because I hadn't made it to the end yet!

WTF?

Wow!
I was shocked!

Bring on the next book.
I need more!!
